Question

Title crawl with videos/images in FCE

Hello.

I would like to do a crawl of text credits with small videos or still images crawling inline or beside the text. Is this possible with FCE, specifically with the Boris Title Crawl generator? If so, how do I do it?

i think you need to do it in 2 diff. steps.

1 do your text crawl in the text generator with the text crawl
2 resize your video in the motion tab and use keyframes to move the video up the screen

Do the text crawl first .. estimate how long you want it to be, including the clips/still you need to include. Leave spaces in the crawl when you type it out. Drop that onto V1

On V2 place your clips/still. Match them up to the timing of your crawl. Use motions keyframes to "animate" the clips/stills to move along with the crawl.

This is doable but will take some pre-planning on your part

Thanks for the tips.

I was hoping for a solution that would programmatically link the images/video clips with the text, so I wouldn't have to manually make them all go at the same speed, especially if I change the total duration or lines of text. I figured that would be too much to ask for, though.

I'll give your manual solution a try. Thanks again for the info.
