Error while printing

I've read up on other people having this exact error:

ERROR WHILE PRINTING.

I wasn't able to find any solutions to this problem in the forums.

This error won't allow me to print to any printer nor export a PDF file.

I am able to print and export from every other program I have on this machine.

My printer is selected and viewable when I go to print from Pages.

My console log comes back with this error:
2007-06-22 10:56:40.894 Pages[5636] PMSessionValidatePrintSettings failed (error code = -50)
2007-06-22 10:56:43.610 Pages[5636] Invalid PMPrintSettings in print info

I ran PRINTER SETUP REPAIR... but have the same result afterwards.

Anyone have any suggestions?

OK, so I spoke too soon. I was at work and after deleting the plist files, the Preview started working and the print dialog started showing the correct information. I did not attempt to actually print a file (it was personal info). Now back at home, I start up Numbers and Pages and have the same problem - "Error while Printing" dialog box shows up when I try to print or even Preview. I delete the plist files, but the same thing happens. Anyone know what's going on here?

You need to make sure the application that the plist is for is quit. So if you are trying to delete the plist for pages then you need to first quit pages. Then delete the plist.

Also a good application for plist corruption is Preferential treatment:

The other tool that is good to have but isn't free, printer setup repair:

This is an important article:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107396

However if you repair permissions often then Disk utility actually checks for /tmp folder.

Another thing you could try which this actually fixed the problem for me is use printer setup repair:
http://www.fixamacsoftware.com/software/index.html
Use the trial to fix your problem since it is shareware.

Starting permission verification and repair, omitting localized files...

----- cut a bunch of stuff here-----

Verification complete.

1073 files examined. 26 problems were found and repaired. It is recommended that you verify the permissions again to make sure the values are correct.
