scratched screen... now need to scratch off top layer

Okay, the macbook keyboard's spacebar scratched my screen... so then I bought iKlear and iCleaner to polish up my whole macbook (had a lot of scratches on the casing.

I was polishing up the outside of macbook with iCleaner... then I started to try fixing the screen with iCleaner... forgetting that it doesn't fix the screens X_X so then it started scratching out the top layer of the screen (antiglare?)

So now I've been trying to get rid of the whole antiglare layer but I was wondering if there is something I can use that is sort of abrasive to slowly scratch it off. I've gotten about more than 1/3 of the top layer off.

(I can post a few pictures if you're interested in how it looks ^_^;; reflected light looks more natural than the darkish tint it gave before.)

Yes.. I made a mistake.. and now I'm trying to mend that mistake >.<;;

So yeah.. if anyone has any semi abrasive solutions, that would be great ^_^;;

well, i have 1/3 of it off already. doesn't seem to have harmed it to the point of not being able to use it. at least it much less distracting than a 3-5 millimeter wide line (the length of the spacebar) of non-tinted display XD

hmm.. any other suggestions other than the magic eraser? i don't have any of it on hand. though, if there are no other suggestions.. i might have to go out and buy one =\

Don't! Don't, don't, don't! You're most likely to just damage the screen beyond the point of usability. If any of the polishes and such can't reduce the scratch, just learn to live with it. Otherwise you could be on the road to an expensive screen replacement.

what kind of screen protector? is it like a thin thing to put over the screen or do you apply it and buff it out? I think that when I first got mine, i might hve done something to the antiglare (not sure, maby not) cause when I got iklear, i noticed that I had a few dots where the spacebar was and some of the same thing near the bottom 4th quadrant of the screen and I remembered back to when I had used some of my glasses cleaner on the screen and then reading on iklear that normal glasses cleaners can actually harm lcd monitors.
Thanks for any info. 8)
