Isub

I am using an iSub subwoofer along with a pair of SoundSticks II speakers Harman Kardon , and I am having an annoying problem.

In the Apple profiler, my Isub is recognized as following :

harman/kardon USB iSub :

Version : 1.00
Alimentation du BUS (mA) : 500
Vitesse : Jusqu’à 12 Mb/s
Fabricant : harman kardon
Identifiant du produit : 0x0401
Numéro de série : 0
Identifiant du fournisseur : 0x05fc

But in Systeme Preferences --> Sound --> ouput

I don't have any cursur and iSub subwoofer doesn't appears in this panel

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

I solved my own problem as I found out elsewhere that the intel macs only BARELY work with the iSub anymore. You have to have usb speakers (like the pro speakers that came with the mac cube) attached at the same time.

What was weird is that after the recent upgrade to 10.4.10 and iTunes 7.3 the old pair of usb speakers ceased to work with the iSub.

Even more fortunate is that I had another pair of the same brand usb speakers, pluging them in got my iSub recognized.

I am guessing there is something leftover in the depths of the System or Library directories that the upgraded software didn't like, and plugging in second set of USB speakers that were never used with this mac created a new files with that latest OS X and allowed the iSub to be configured/play again.

Good luck to the rest of you iSub holdouts.

I just ordered the Lacie Firewire Speakers to replace the entire current setup.
