Can't find Stickies!

Can't find Stickies!

Hi,

I upgraded to 10.4.10, and now my Stickies have disappeared! I searched the hard drive, and I found an application file called Stickies in an odd folder, but when I open it nothing happens. I'm pretty clueless--any ideas?

Hi

The Stickies application should be in the Applications folder. If it's missing, you can reinstall it using Pacifist.

Your Stickies notes themselves are in a file called StickiesDatabase, which you'll find in your home/Library folder.

If both the application and the stickies file are present, but Stickies still does not open, try first repairing your permissions in Disk Utility, then trashing your preference file at home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Stickies.plist.

Thanks for the help.

Stickies is not in my Application folder. I have installed Pacifist, but I no longer have my Mac OS install disk. Is there another way to reinstall Stickies?

I found the StickiesDatabase file and opened it with TextEdit, so at least I haven't lost the data from my stickies!

Hi zippy, Welcome to Apple's Users Help Users Forums.

I have switched from Stickies to Textedit as TE allows save / Save As. If you copy over to TE, all would be good to go.

Hey Matt, I tried using "Pacifist" but I found that it does not work. It said that it "could not open Stickies Database"

Any Ideas, other programs?
