For some reason, since I switched to itunes 7, I cannot select and add multiple music files at once. For example, I want to add all 16 tracks from my music folder to itunes. When I go to file-> add new file to library, and select my multiple files, itunes doesn't do anything, and no files are added. The only way I've been able to add new files to the library is by selecting one file at a time in the same manner as above. This is kinda a pain, and I can't figure it out.

No, I have all of my music in one folder, not organized by itunes and not organized by artist/ album. Everything is listed in one folder, so I can't add a folder without adding all (15 gigs) of my music at once. It's really strange because I used to be able to use the "add files" opition and select multiple files, but now on itunes7 it just says "add file." It's really stupid on apple's part if that's just how itunes7 works.
Anyone have any ideas?
Under the add file option is the add folder option, use that.
Make sure only the files you want to add are in to folder.

As camoracer pointed out, use File -> Add folder to library.
Or drag the songs/folder to the library in iTunes

As previously mentioned, select the songs you want and drag them into iTunes.
