Changing from ipv6 to ipv4

Question

Changing from ipv6 to ipv4

My macbook seems to be ahead of the game when it comes to my IP, I need to change it from ipv6 to ipv4 but cant seem to find an option to do it anywhere! Any help is greatly appreciated!

macbook, Mac OS X (10.4.6)

You should have an option to configure IPv6 Automatically, Manually or "off".
If you choose "Off"...then IPv4 will take over by default, I believe, and v6 will be greyed-out, or the IPv6 address will be gone from that panel (under the SearchDomains box...) see that?

System Preferences>Network>Configure...>TC{/IP tab, Configure IPv6... button near the bottom. 🙂

all it allows me to do is input other numbers tho!
