WIFI FROM G3 WALL STREET / OS 9.2 to AIRPORT EXTREME, NOT happening..

I have a ancient G3 233 hz Powerbook with Macsense Aero card running OS 9.2 that I need to use wifi with new Airport Extreme unit connected to a G5 1.8 single core running OS 10.4.10.

The Aerocard works fine accessing a verizon wifi router, but will not find the new Airport consistently. The security on the Airport has been turned off. When I do find the Airport and launch Internet Explorer 5.1 mac it fails to load anything, then freezes the whole computer.

After 36 hours of well meaning tech supt from apple, I still cannot get a resolution to getting this G3 laptop to connect to Airport Extreme.

Any suggestions would be welcome. I am no computer expert,
and do not have the budget to get a new laptop.

First thing to do, if you have not already done so, is to increase the memory allocation for Internet Exploiter to upwards of 40,000K. This will generally stop its crashing and taking out the whole machine.

I like Classic Stumbler to help discover strength-of-signal and other problems in PowerBooks like the WallStreet. Its a free download from here:
