Cutoff time before midnight on Applecare extension?

My computer's anniversary date is tomorrow, 6/29 -- but I was not able to register my (already purchased) extended Applecare plan for my MacBook at about 8 p.m. Pacific tonight, with a message that the warranty was already expired.

Just for the record, the computer's serial number is 4H625 ****. I will of course call Apple in the morning -- but since there is no all-night service line or any email address I can find to register the problem, I wanted to at least note here that I am trying to do this on 6/28, not 6/29!

(Any thoughts?)

Welcome to the Apple Discussions!

You can enroll your AppleCare Protection Plan online, if your original warranty hasn't run out yet, here.

But, if the online process won't go through, you'll have to call AppleCare Support in the morning. There is an option to go directly to "AppleCare" rather than "Technical Support'. Select that option. They may need you to fax your receipts in for both the MacBook and the plan, but they should be able to help you out behind the scenes.

Douglas is correct - Call AppleCare and explain what happened. The customer service person will take your AppleCare number and computer's serial number and give you a ticket number. You'll have to fax or mail your AppleCare receipt along with the reference number you were given. After they get that receipt you should get an email confirming that and then a couple weeks later get your AppleCare enrollment documents in the mail.

This whole topic might be of help to someone else who comes looking for the same question, so I think the whole topic should remain. However, I did "report this post" to the Moderators and asked them to edit your serial number. I don't think there's too much to worry about, the first five digits are important, but the rest could be edited out.

We'd still like to make sure you got it all worked out too!

The problem seems to be a discrepancy between the warranty expiration date in my renewal letter (sent from Apple) and the one they ⚠ now have on file. The letter said 6/29, but the date they currently have in their system is 6/28. Sounds like they are willing to work it out, but I need to jump through some hoops, fax receipts, etc.

I wonder if anyone else has had this issue with the wrong date on their renewal letter?
