Quicktime Crashes

Question

Quicktime Crashes

Quicktime keeps on crashing whenever i try to run it. Applications that use Quicktime to display videos and images crash too (watching the Apple ads in Firefox causes Firefox to crash).

I tried taking the Quicktime.app from another machine in which this works and yet it doesn't on mine.

Anyone have any idea as to why?

MacBook Pro || 2.16Ghz || 1Gb RAM || 120Gb HDD || 128mb x1600, Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I have this same problem after i updated to the latest patch from apple. Also xbench crashes and warcraft 3 crashes. Any idea?

The security update or new OS version (10.4.10) fixed this issue with Quicktime and the applications that use it.

All problems have been resolved.

Um, no. I'm running 10.4.10 and all apps that use quicktime continue to crash upon playing video.
