New iTunes can STREAM photos to AppleTV!

Just read the 'what's new' and saw the little tidbit. I'm off to try it.

Whoo-Hoo!! this is fantastic. i'm very surprised they
actually delivered a feature ppl asked for. this is
encouraging 🙂

The interesting thing is that this was from an iTunes upgrade alone - so the reciprocal functionality must have been built-in to the recent AppleTV update or may even have been there originally!

Perhaps there are other features as yet unactivated!

It did stream the same Photo folders I had synced -
but, they are synced. Not much point in streaming
content that's already synced to AppleTV HD.

Yep - that rather obvious pointless feature had momentarily passed me by!

Has anyone rebooted AppleTV and iTunes PC/Mac yet, or maybe one has to re-enable streaming or something?

The help files do kind of suggest a new Photos tab in iTunes - I've tried drag and drop on an image or two but nothing happens to them and a Photos category doesn't get created. There's no Photos category to select to display in Preferences either.
