I just installed 7.3, and I keep getting an error that says "The iTunes Library File cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (-50)." Anyone know how to fix this? I tried to re-download, but can't since it is the current version. Thanks!
I'm also getting this error after updating, I have renamed the Library file and let it create a new one and there were no errors. I didn't try adding anything into the new Library at that time as I had to get back into work. It sure looks like to me that the update is trying to update the Library file to a new format and can't for some unknown reason, as the permissions on the folder and files look correct. Will have to work on it more after work.
And I am having this same issue as well. First it didn't launch, and that was due to ShapeShifter. Got that sorted out and now I get this same error message. Bizarre. Help!
If you are getting the error that iTunes can't save the library file, I need some more information from you. The most important thing is I need to know where your iTunes library file is. By default on the Mac, the iTunes Library file is saved in Music/iTunes in your home directory. By default, your home directory is a folder named with your username in the Users folder on the main hard disk of your computer. Is this where your iTunes Library file is?
Also, Roy, I have music located on D:\ and E:\ that are referenced in iTunes. I have "Keep iTunes organized" and "Add to Library" enabled. My D:\ and E:\ drives are completely full; new music is only added to C:\
