not real impressed with Safari for windows. Looking to get the lastest iMac by Christmas, or probably next spring or so, so I've still got a bit of a wait.
I took Safari off yesterday. Today is when I discovered the C++ snafu. Reinstalled 7.3 over pre-existing version, that worked. Just got back from Apple Store, madness. sheer madness.
I'm having the same issue right now too, and have had it at least 5 times in the last year or so. The only thing I've found that fixes it is to install iTunes again. I haven't found any helpful fixes to this frustrating problem.
Here is what should solved the issue for me:
1. Go to start -> control panel -> Ad or Remove Programs
2. Look for Apple software Updater click on "Click here for more support information" and then on Repair.
3. This should bring up a window saying that there are two new versions, one for iTunes and one for Quicktime. Install them. 4. Your shortcuts to iTunes won't work anymore. Go to programs - itunes and run itunes.exe
