Ipod Shufffle (2nd Gen) Doesn't Work

My Ipod Shuffle (2nd Gen) does not recognize the songs that are loaded on it. Songs appear to be loaded when the Shuffle is docked. When I turn it on after a full charge the green light stays on for about 5 seconds then turns off. When I press play, the colors flash orange and green indicating there are no songs loaded. I've tried all the recommendations and also seen that people with similar problems have not been able to resolve the problem as well. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Did you get yours replaced yet under warranty?

Guys--With all of you climbing on board (and these things not as old as they should be nearing battery retirement!) I think this is a bug/failure of the shuffle. You need to contact apple/en masse--or all separartly but within seconds of one another--to let Apple know that the 2nd gen. shuffle has "problems"!

Good luck!

To contact Apple--use the feedback option within iTunes. You can find it by clicking on "help" in iTunes and then choosing "Provide iTunes Feedback". When the box opens, let Apple know what you think!

I have tried all the possible "fixes" with no luck
and it is also out of warranty. I sent Apple a bug
report last week and they have not replied. Has
anyone been able to solve this problem? Maybe if
others send bug reports it might get the company's
attention. Thanks

Excuse me, but you've posted this in the iPod shuffle (Second Generation) discussion. HOW can your shuffle be out of warranty? Is it actually a 1st Generation shuffle?
