iTunes ... unknown error (0xE8000025)

iBook G4, OS X 10.4.10, re-downloaded iTunes 7.3, restarted computer, iPhone charged, cable directly from USB to iPhone (no keyboard, USB hub, iPhone dock, etc.)

Error message:

iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone" because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000025)

Anyone got any suggestions?

Obviously, I'm not a happy camper.

iBook G4 1 GHz, 1.25 GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

I was having all sorts of problems with my phone... The phone would not open iTunes... it wouldn't mount in iTunes. The activated phone connected to wifi networks, but after I synced with my computer, I was unable to use a wifi network. Sometimes I would get a greyed out message... "no- wifi", other times it would join a network, but never give me the airport symbol. Safari would only use the cell network. I searched for that error message (0xE8000025) and came up with http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305841. Voila! My phone was named "jessica's phone" I restored it... took out the apostrophe, and all is well. Try it out and let me know if that works for you. Good luck.
