The software required for iPhone is not installed "Thread" Vista/OS

Chances are you will have a hard time getting answers from anyone, since 64-bit versions of Windows are not supported by Apple. This has been the case for pretty well all of their products (especially iTunes).

already have a thread going for this. Ive been on hold for this one for close to 2 hrs now.

I've started to investigate it using a comp running xp and my vista one and its troubleing. It looks like all the addition "common files" that deal with the iphone are simply not there in the Vista version. In addition if you look at the regedit for the xp you will find apple inc. and get mobile device support under current user. these scripts are not there for vista period. Soooooo this may be something that will take a while to fix...

I recieved a new PC from HP after my old one broke after 3 months of use... figures. I hate Windows Vista, and I wish I had stayed with XP or gotten an Intel Mac and parallel'd XP and OSX

Is there any way to run Vista in 32-bit?

just dont get vista ultimate which supports 64 bit.

There has to be some workaround so that you can create a 32-bit environment...

The problem is not limited to Vista Ultimate. I have Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) and I'm having the exact same problem.

We need a fix soon! I want to put some music on my phone!

Apple is supposed to be bleeding edge technology. This lack of support by Apple for Vista 64 bit is unacceptable. 64 bit computing is here to stay.

Come on Apple get with the program.

Plus Iphone has no support for playing .wav files from the internet or from an email. This is an very nice feature especially for the VOIP phone users. Voice mail comes to your email in the form a .wav file. The latest BlackBerry has this feature and it is great.

I really wish companies would get in touch with their customer base and find out what we really want. Not want they think we want.

A GPS should of been included in the unit. But because it wasn't a nice BlueTooth enabled GPS would be nice. You know I-GPS LOL.

Now don't get me wrong. The Iphone is great but those features would be nice.
