when I plug in iphoto opens. Itunes is not recognizing the iphone. I have two hard drives, only one of which has itunes 7.3, but that is the itunes I have open. ...ideas?
having the same problem, on hold for "special" dept. of apple.... will update. if i open the blue apple then about this mac, then more, iphone should show at the bottom of the right side. it does not for me. they think this is an issiue. it does show on the left hand side under usb.

Unplugging and replugging the cord into the dock allows the phone to be recognized, but I'm still getting lots of error messages after that claiming that the phone has "timed out."
I had no problem last night with activation nor with syncing
Holy $%#^ it worked. Repeatedly (about 5 times) or pulling the cable from the back of the iPhone dock and reinserting it again rapidly.
Wow this sounds like the tech instruction apple sent out for the 17" Apple CRT Displays. (Cup hands over Apple logos, bring together as if clapping, repeat until lines fade) :P
I have a powerbook g4 which is running on os 10.4.10 and Itunes 7.3. yet it has a 1.1 usb port. so my iphone will not connect. but some have said that then can connect but it's slower? if I still can't I'm not sure what I'm can do to fix the problem? help?
