Appleworks 6.2.9 upgrade

I am running Appleworks 6.2.4 and have downloaded the OS X 6.2.9 update form the Apple site. The updater launches and after license consent, the updater shows the update location folder "Appleworks 6" to be updated on my only HD/Partition. When I click update I get a flash of an "installing" box then a dialog box "unable to find International appleworks 6 on specified update location". I see no way to specify" a different location" to the installer.

The message usually means you have downloaded and attempted to install the updater for AppleWorks 6 (International English). As you give your location as Denver, you probably have the US English version of AppleWorks 6 installed.

Go to this page and download the updater for the US English version.

I downloaded from the link you provided. Installed the US 6.2.9 update without a hitch. Your a prince!

I am a long time appleworks->clarisworks->appleworks user ( Apple II+ ). I do like some of the new features (like mighty mouse scrolling) I've seen so far in 6.2.9 .
