Voicemail not working....?

Hey everyone...I've already called the kind Apple folks TWICE for other questions and I'm tired of sitting on hold...so, hopefully you guys can help!

For some reson, incoming calls do not go to voicemail. The caller recieves a message saying that their "call cannot be completed as dialed." Yet, I am able to make and receive calls...and I have recorded and enabled my outgoing message.

HELP!

Thanks.

P.S. What's up with no ringtone option?!

I have the same exact problem. All phone functions work great and I set my voicemail greeting just fine etc., but any calls that I do not answer do not go to voicemail, rather an ATT recording saying "call cannot be completed as dialed".

The REALLY STRANGE thing is when I call my iphone from my wifes Sprint mobile phone and do not pick up the call my voicemail DOES work and I even receive the message just fine on the iphone. I tried this with at least 10 other call sources (landlines and friends mobile phones including ATT) and no others will work. It makes NO sense.

I suggest trying to call your iphone from a number of different sources and see see if anyone gets your voicemail.

I plan on calling ATT on Monday and hopefully getting this fixed. Good Luck and please anyone post back if you have this problem and / or are able to resolve it! THANKS!

Today I did get a hold of after hours customer service rep. The lady was so nice and tried to be helpful, but was not able to solve the problem. She tried getting one of the after hours tech guys to assist, but of course none are available (she said she has not been able to get a single one all day for any of her support calls).

Its mind boggling how ATT could not have had a full tech support staff on duty all weekend on what will probably turn out to be their biggest weekend as far as wireless for years to come. Instead...they have none working with the exception of the after hours crew which appears to be a handful of true tech guys for the entire country.

Good luck to anyone trying to get help on Monday....their tech support is going to be so backed up from not being around during the weekend....its going to be nuts.

Will keep you posted with anything I learn....

There is no way this is an Apple issue. The problem arises before anything involving the iphone even takes place.

If you end up talking again to a ATT tech rep, be sure and tell them the phone can be turned off the and the problem continues. I would then ask them to explain how on earth this could be a hardware issue. Basic logic clearly shows the hardware of the phone has nothing to do this. Calls are clearly being misrouted to that ATT "your call cannot be completed as dialed" message instead of going to our voicemails as they should be. One would think this SHOULD be something they could easily clear up.

Good luck...everyone please keep posting back when you have more info. Thanks!
