How to add music to screensaver, or vice versa screensaver to music?
I want so show the "screensaver" (the tiled pictures floating by, not a slideshow) but want music to play at same time. So, either music with the screensaver or screensaver with music. Cannot seem to make that work. Any tips appreciated.
iMac G5 or PowerBook G4 or iPod,
Mac OS X (10.4.10)
I always have music playing with my Screen Saver. All you have to do is go to Music and choose what you want to listen to, then go to Settings>Screen Saver and then make sure Use For Music is turned on. The music will play for any one of the four choices you have selected in your Screen Saver setting (Logo, Albums, Photos and Slideshow).
Unfortunately you can't have music playing with the screensaver by itself. The only way of having music playing with the screensaver is to manually select a song from the music library and then wait a few minutes for the screensaver to start.
You could possibly though have some control over the music played by creating a custom playlist in iTunes with the songs you want, and then select the playlist on Apple TV and allow the screensaver to start.
I guess I did fail to mention that while you are listening to whatever music you have selected in your library (a song, artist, album or maybe custom playlist), you have to allow the screen saver to start. I did not mean that you can apply music to your screen saver but rather meant you can have your screen saver display your photos or whatever option you want while listening to anything in your iTunes library.
