Logitech QuickCam on an iMac with OS X (10.3.9)

I just bought this &#^$)@#& Logitech QuickCam Fusion Camera and my USB port doesn't even recognize that it is connected. I've loaded drivers from ioxperts that don't seem to have any effect. Does anyone have any ideas?

The Logitech QuickCam Fusion Camera is not advertised to work with a Mac, so if Logitech have not made drivers for the camera for the Mac there is not much you can do.

I'd suggest take it back and buy something that says is compatible with a Mac.

Hi jack and intrepid,

There is a site here that makes drivers for obscure webcams.
http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/
and it also is said to handle some cameras as well. Check to see if your camera is listed here.

If so, it might be worth a try and download that software.
I haven't tried it myself, but it might be what you need.

Actually, it is "advertised to work with a Mac", by Apple no less:

Why is Apple pimping this useless piece of tat if it isn't compatible with the Mac?
