Hey I have been problem hearing while making calls I put my volume on full. Both me and my brother have iphones and we both have the same problem and I was wondering if any one else was having this problem. I can hear, but when I am at a store or something where they might be some noise, and I do not mean loud, it is very hard to hear so I have to use speaker phone.
the phone volume is a joke!!!!! the ipod volume on the phone is great ..the phone uses the same speaker for the speakerphone and you can barely hear it even if you put it up to your ear. How can that be!! they bettter be able to fix this with a software update..the handset volume is a joke too!..if you are not pressing it against your ear,you cant hear squat!!!!! $600 bucks and I can;t hear the **** phone??????? Everthing else is awesome tho...Cmon Apple!!! FIX THIS NOW!!!!!!!
I'm right there with you, the music/videos are fine but when it comes to a call, this thing has a really weak volume. Both speaker and up to my ear. Yes, I'm putting my ear in the right place, really squishing down sometimes to make it work.
I have the same problem. Volume is very low on calls, even speakerphone is low. I was in my bedroom (with AC running) and I couldn't hear the speakerphone unless I get right next to the phone. Definite problem here. Lots of people having the same problem. (Yes, the plastic is off, the master volume is 100% and I turned it up using the side buttons)
Yes i have the same problem! Ipod playing in speakers are fine, when i have calls, my volume is on the highest but the volume coming out on speaker sounds like medium volume.
when i first got the iphone the volume was super low on speaker and on ear, i went into the apple store, they reset my phone and it worked fine. After about 10 hours having the phone, i still feel the speaker and ear volume are on the medium end. i can definitely notice the different between ipod volume and phone volume when the volume on the highest.
i also have problem with syncing on an older mac & my music library doesn't play all the songs on the iphone (music is on the iphone but doesn't play the songs - music title & cover art are not the same, songs play for about two seconds or a little more with no volume then skip to the next song.... then next song until the iphone have the right cover art, title and songs.
it looks like they took a lot of the same software from Palm. I don't know but I have the same problem with my Palm 680. Earpiece volume isn't the greatest. I don't know who developed the software but it's a little ironic.
Hey guys well I took off the film that protects the screen from getting scratched and it improved by sound dramatically so some of you who haven not tried that might want to, to the rest I wish you good luck.
