Q: iweb website doesn't look good on our web server (apache2)

hello,
I made a website on iweb and then published it to a folder. I then copied the files to our web server (linux, sles9). When I viewed the files on my laptop, it looked fine. But when I put the files on the web server, it looks bad.

Why are all the spaces full of capital letter A's? It's not just that. The second page doesn't look good either. I was all happy about using iweb until I saw the results on the web server. Why is this happening?

I don't see any A's.

But if one does see such characters, it is normally because the server is (mis)configured to force all browsers to use the wrong encoding. See this note:

I found the fix. The problem is iweb publishes content using UTF-8 character set. Linux web server wasn't set to use this character set. Had to set apache2 web server to use utf-8 and that fixed it.
