Mail with a godaddy email account

has anyone else had problems sync the mail on their iPhone to their email account with Godaddy? everytime that i try setting it up it hangs at "Verifying POP account information" for about 5 minutes and never comes around.

currently I have it setup as follows:
host name: pop.secureserver.net
username: dheine@ ****.com
password: (webmail password)

OUTGOING
Host name: smtpout.secureserver.net

I've tried it as smtpout.secureserver.net:25 as well but only get the same results.

Mac OS X (10.4)

ive got a godaddy account, the email app works like a charm for me...best feature so far. only wish they'd have more mass delete, advanced featues.

one prob i had initially was godaddy server timing out on authentication, happens on my desktop...its rare but if i try again, works...

You should upgrade to new OS X and new itunes. Do you use MAIL or Entourage? There is an option to sync your mailboxes from either one of the mail programs onto your iphone. I have a godaddy account and it worked great by syncing.

I am having the same problem with Godaddy on my iPhone sending emails not receiving. all my other email acounts are working great.

I have godaddy as well with not problems sending or receiving mail. Looking at your settings match mine. Double check that you have the user name as your complete e-mail address. Also, under advanced make sure SSL is off.

I figured it out. With Go Daddy for outgoing mail you must put:
smtpout.secureserver.net:3535
It now works!

Thx that worked in part. I was now able to receive the emails but an attempt to send out provided the following message:

"Cannot Send Mail. The recipient jw@ ****.com was rejected by the server"

I entered the settings as above...?

Actually got it to work with the addition of :3535 on the smtp address.

Wow. Your settings look different then mine. I am not putting a port number in after the outgoing server and I am having no problems sending or receiving.

I have GoDaddy as well. I do not have the port # but my host server does not use "secureserver" like the outgoing. I use mail.domain.com or mail then name of your domain name then com/net/org or whatever.
