Before I go and get a iPhone I need an important questinon answered by you experts. I did watch the video on Apple.com and asked the search area about making the text bigger but could not find the answer. Can you have the text be shown bigger all the time for us who need slightly bigger letters/numbers? I saw that the keyboard would enlarge the letters as you typed but it did not mention about making the whole view larger. Before I give them my money and switch from T-mobile I want to make sure I can see the print clearly.
Yes you can. When viewing your e-mail or Safari browser, you put two fingers on the screen. Bring them together to zoom out, or bring them apart to zoom in. You can zoom in pretty close. If you seen the data entry view, that's how close you can zoom in using the two finger method.
As far as that being the default view....I'm not sure. I've just been zooming in when needed.
That magnifying glass is only when you edit text. At this time, the keyboard size is standard to fit all of the letters. Perhaps in the future they will allow you to flip the keyboard widescreen, but at this time you get what you see.
Oops, I must have misunderstood your question. As the other individual stated, you can zoom to read text on webpages, etc. But the keyboard size stays the same. Sorry about that.
That zoom I knew about but a wanted to know about larger text/graphic icons being larger as a default and I think that also got answered. I can make it larger in the OS as the default so I thought I could on the iPhone as it uses a OS also to run.
So if I cannot I guess I will just have to stick with what I have now. That issue is a killer for me as slightly bigger text is so much easier to read for us older persons. I like the idea of everything in one so much, well maybe version 2 or 3 will have that.
