BlueTooth PIN for BMW X5

Anyone know if there is a "common" PIN for BlueTooth in BMW's?? I have a 2005 X5 that my iPhone finds a "BMW 12176" BT device when I turn BT "On" on my iPhone while in the car, but I don't have the correct PIN to pair it with...

I had a card in the glovebox of my X3, but the passcode didn't work. I went to the dealer and they showed me that under the removable panel in my cargo area (left side wall where tools are hidden) you can see the bluetooth code on a sticker on the navigation system head unit. It bore no resemblance to the "PK" number on my card.

I LOVE being able to do the handsfree thing on my X3 after having it and a Treo 600 (non-BT) for 2.5 years!

this is not the phone, its you not confiming pin you entered on BMW iDrive screen, been there and after half hour figured out that I missed a step. when asked for the pin on iphone just select 4 numbers. I used 0000 after that the iDrive on BMW will ask for the passkey enter 0000. Now here is what is next, you must click the iDrive knob downward to select confirm passkey, once highlighted press iDrive know in to select and your done, phone will be paired.

Other numbers did not work on my X3 - I got an error on the iPhone screen stating that the PIN was wrong. I got the correct PassKey number off the Bluetooth unit in the cargo area left panel, and all was well.

there's a card that should be in your glove compartment with a "PK" number. That's the passcode to pair with the BMW.

My BMW pin is 6087. If this doesn't work for you, go to your manual. There is a sticker on the phone catalogue that has your pin.

Every code is different for each car, you need to contact your dealer service center to take the car in and reset it at the dealership. I still am unable to do this on the BMW 750 as of today unless I take it into the service center.

I'm a little confused about what you are asking. You create a pin when you pair the phone with the radio don't you. I paired two Motorola phones and now the iPhone, each have a different pair number. Maybe I don't understand?
