ical and iphone sync problems

can't help, but I am having the same problem. After 2 hours with a genius, their best guess is something on my G4 is interfering, iCal is corrupt, or Maybe I Should reinstall OSX!

can anybody help??

me, again - after checking another thread, I tried syncing one calendar at a time. it worked - and I discovered the ONE calendar which is the problem. Now I just have to re- create that one calendar; much easier than the whole thing!

I'm able to sync events between iCal and iPhone. However, any event I create on the iPhone sync with a read-only clanedar I have subscribed to, in spite of the iCal sync setting in iTunes. Once in iCal, I'm unable to move a "read-only" event to another calendar. I have to cut and paste the event to the correct calendar and then delete the original event from the iPhone.

Any suggestions on how to make the iPhone sync new events directly to my iCal Home calendar?

syncing I have never been able to sync what on my
computer in ical to my iphone. I get the following
message "itunes could not sync calandars to the
iphone because the iphone disconected."

There is a preference you can set in your iPhone "info" tab in iTunes that directs events created on your iPhone to a particular calendar. Have you tried setting that up?

That's exactly the same problem I have with my iPhone and iCal!

Events created on my iPhone appear in a 'read only' calendar in iCal , even after I've picked the option on iTunes to put new events created on the iPhone to a 'personal' calendar.

I might try deleting all my custom calendars and recreating them again to see if it solves this problem.

ITunes has created a Calender called Birthday's etc. that it will not allow me to deselect. It shows up in the list with a check box regardless what sync option is selected and can not be unchecked. It also shows as the selection in the pull down and will not allow any other selection from the list.

Ideas ?

In ical, go to preferences under the ical menu item. In there you will see a box for "show birthdays calendar" you can uncheck it there. I think that should work for you.

Very similar problem-- "Device not found" error. Asked by online support to reinstall Tiger. Problem still extant!!! Grrrrrr
