how do I UNINSTALL an iTunes update?

iTunes 7.3 seems to work for me - which is no consolation for you whatsoever. All I can suggest is that you revert iTunes 7.2. You can find it here: http://www.oldapps.com/downloadiTunesmac.php

Merely installing 7.2 should be sufficient. It's always a good idea to back up your library first, of course - just in case.

If you just run the 7.2 installer with 7.3 already installed, it will tell you that you cannot downgrade. If you move iTunes.app (by default in /Applications) somewhere else (say, the trash) there shouldn't be any problems.

thanks. my music is on an external drive, so i will try to revert to 7.2 and hope the issues are done with and "WAIT" for APPLESOFT to deliver a true apple update.

sure though) and now it says, "iTunes requires Mac
OSX 10.40.7 or later." And it will not open. Does
anyone know how i can get my iTunes back?

Just FYI, I'm using 10.3.9 on an old G4 iMac and the new version works swell for me.

Is there any reason you are not running at least 10.4.7?

Since it requires 10.4.7 or later and you don't have that, it was not installed. It was simply downloaded. The installer will check you system and install only if you meet the minimum requirements.

Your iTunes should have been left as it was.
