QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback - Mac OS X

Hi

I Have got trubble with importing my film clip from the camera in my I-movie. I understood that I needed to get QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback to see and import my clip. So I downloaded it and now it woorks but without any sound in the clip.
What to do???? Suggestions????

You misunderstand the purpose of the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback plugin. It DOES NOT allow Quicktime (or iMovie) to play multiplexed mpg-2 content. (Multiplexed means the audio and video are mixed togeher in the signal.)

The free VLC Media player is a good application to playback multiplexed mpg-2 clips.

If you want to work with those clips in iMove, download the free MPEG Streamclip. Since you already have the required QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback component, you will be able to convert your files to DV video for use in iMovie.
