Ringtone used in the commercials?

Has anyone noticed the absence of the ringtone used in the TV commercials? Have I overlooked it?

Power Mac G5 Dual 1.8, 2.5GB, 20" CD Mac OS X (10.4.4)

You have not overlooked it. What you see on tv commercials doesn't always reflect real life. The commercial also shows the web pages changing instantly at a touch...even with wifi, it takes time for them to load up.

The ringtones are woefully misbegotten on the iPhone -- but there is rumour that a iTUnes upgrade is in the works that will allow you to use your own ringtones.

I suppose I am surprised by the lack of ringtones that actually sound like a phone ringing.

True... a real phone circa 1975! Now all I need is the 50 ft. avocado green cord that reaches from one end of the house to the other and then twists back on itself when you put down the receiver 😉
