VNC Authentication Failed - Apple Remote Desktop

Hello,

I've been using Chicken of the VNC to control our OSX Server 10.4.8 for over a year now with no problem. I had to restart the server yesterday and since then I've been unable to login using VNC. Everytime I try I get "VNC Authentication Failed".

The ARD agent and helper are both running, I've tried stopping and restarting the services.I also tried disabling ARD and starting the OSXvnc server, I get exactly the same message when I try to login.

OSXvnc has always worked before, I just prefer ARD because the video quality is better.

Which logs tdo I need to look at to observe the login process for ARD?

Thanks very much

Thats did the trick, I must have set the OSXvnc service to start at startup. This is the first time I've rebooted the OSX server in ages, I checked the startupitems folder and SXvnc was in there, deleted those files and stopped the service.

Now ARD is working again, thanks I can stay in my chair for the rest of the afternoon now.
