Are You Experiencing Distorted Voice Mail Playback Sound?

When I play back my voice mail on the iphone, the sound quality is distorted. The sound on the phone is fine when I talk on the phone, but when I play back voice mail messages, it's distorted. The callers voice doesn't seem natural at all... almost "electronic". For $600 bucks, the voice mail play back sound should be clear... like on all the other cell phones I've had, including the Razr I just replaced with the iPhone. Is anyone else experiencing this?
