Thought I would mention that the iPhone successfully pair with the Garmin Nuvi 660 via Bluetooth, AND all of the address book entries (including multiple numbers) gets transferred to the Nuvi for use. Great feature to dial while on the road without even taking the iPhone out....

How did you successfully pair the Nuvi 660 and your iPhone? I tried to do it this afternoon but was stymied by the passkey requirement, as it is impossible to type it in on the iPhone's keypad. Help would be greatly appreciated!!
The second time around I was successful in pairing my Nuvi and my iPhone because the special keypad came up on the iPhone screen so that I could type in the passkey. Once that was done, I was good to go! Being able to talk on the phone hands-free is wonderful! For various reasons I have never used bluetooth with my previous cell phones so this is all new to me. I am loving it!!
My iPhone works with my Garmin Nuvi 360 via bluetooth, downloaded address book and all, but after a day or two the connection stops working (iPhone says they’re paired, but Nuvi doesn’t show phone icon - doesn't work) and I have to manually set up the connection again. Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks.
I have not had any problems; I get in-and-out of the car and each time the two devices have successfully paired. I once turned off BT for a while in the iPhone but had no problems when I turned it back on and then later got in the car to go somewhere. I keep my Nuvi plugged in all the time -- maybe that makes a difference? Do you unplug your Nuvi when leaving the car and then replug it when starting out again?
Clix,
I leave the Nuvi plugged in, but when the car is off the power to the Nuvi is interrupted so it also shuts off. I can sometimes go a couple of days with the Nuvi turning on and off, the iphone/nuvi bluetooth connection working fine. And then it won’t, sometimes it will be working at the start of a drive and then the connection will inexplicably drop.
I also 'paired' my iPhone with my TomTom GO 510 but was not able to make the GO a 'Trusted' device to my iPhone. Now, everytime I get into my car I have to enter the PIN (0000). How did you fix this?
Apple is aware of this issue and they are working hard to fix it. Look for this bug to be disabled in the next update. (the pairing issue, not the entering the PIN issue)
My iPhone paired with the Nuvi 660 on the first try also. People seem not to like it when I call them through the 660 but from my end, everything sounds and works great.
I was having trouble getting the iPhone to pair with the Nuvi 660. I got it to work by following these steps:
1. On iPhone, disable Bluetooth.
2. On Nuvi, go to Settings > Bluetooth > Add.
3. On iPhone, enable Bluetooth.
4. Pairing screen appears on iPhone. Enter 1234.
5. On Nuvi, connection successful. On iPhone, Nuvi paired.
