Quicktime Plays Soundfont Very Bad...

Hi.
This is my first post, and its about QuickTime Playing Sound Font.
I've downloaded a big and very very good one here: http://www.geocities.jp/shansoundfont/ and after instaled, i tested with the site example midi files, and they plays, but jumping and it cant be heard because its not music, its just noise; its like quicktime is not giving system resources, or quicktime dont support the polifony, i dont know. The thing is that, i've tested on boot camp, with a simple, free player called XMPlay from here: http://www.un4seen.com/ with the midi plugin wich can play sound font, and its insane good with good revers and equalizer.... But, here's the thing, I DONT WANT TO USE WINDOWS FOR MUSIC 🙂 and the bad thing is that most synth plugins and things for mac, uses quicktime engine!!! so, im wondering, maybe there's some way to give more priority or something to quicktime, anything to make quicktime play the soundfont the way it should be played?
Mac's been almost best machines for music, but its nonsense that today you cant even play a good soundfont wich is already old system. I think there should be a way; do any one already been in this?
Thanks!

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.10), 2.16ghz, 2gigs RAM, 120 HD, etc, etc.

Hi.
Well, i know that, and i know that the quick time sinteziser sounds like my old Atari 2006 🙂
Thats why im trying to use this soundfont. Also, yes yes it plays with other synth, just copying the soundfont to /Library/Audio/Sounds/Banks Then switching on the System Panel, the Quicktime Synth by the new.
But, thats the thing, only small, and not good quality soundfonts can be used, the big quality ones, like i mentioned, plays very very bad.

Sorry, I have no solutions.
MIDI Instruments were a big part of my workflow in the early nineties but I haven't had use for them since and I only use what I know sound "OK" with the default instrument set supplied by Roland (standard QuickTime install).
We used them because of their tiny file size (no other reason) in our Web pages and QuickTime files.
Now that speeds have improved and Internet bandwidth have increased most users have switched to "true" music interfaces and integration with their Web experiences.

Hi again. Thanks for your repplies.
I just figured its not system resources to be assigned to quicktime or anything, its just quicktime synth system is not good eought to play that soundfont. I just tested on the last VMWare Fusion, and even being a virtual machine, ussing that little app i mentioned "only 600k" i can play a midi ussing that sound font without any problem and sounds perfect!!!
So i think ill need to give up becasue QuickTime cant be solved... the problem is that most midi apps and things, uses quicktime on mac.. 😟
I did a little video capture, if you or some one wants to see: http://homepage.mac.com/ibobx/.cv/ibobx/Sites/.Public/SoundFontTests.mp4-binhex. hqx
Thanks again for your repplies.
