BUSlink Help?

BUSlink Help?

I'm trying to use a USB BUSlink drive on my macbook, but I don't get anything when I plug it in. I know it works, but my Mac isn't seeing it. It's an older USB, it's a BUSlink L40.

Mac OS X (10.4.10), Intel Mac

Does the drive get power? If not, do you have the power plugged in? (it is required for that drive).

Yes it is plugged in and turned on.

Do you see the drive in Disk Utility or System Profiler? Do you have another USB cable you can try?

Yes, it is seen by the system profiler but not in the disk utility.

So it's seeing the USB bridge board, but not the drive. The drive may be faulty. Can you try it on another computer?

Yes, it works fine on my windows 98 and windows xp computers.

Did you try another cable. Don't assume that because it works with other computers that it will work with this one. Some computers can be picky about different hardware configs.

Yes I have, same thing happens, it's seen by profiler and nothing else.
