subtitle turn blur after render

anyone know how to fix blurred subtitle after rendering? It looks great as i create it but then turned blurry as soon as i render the sequence to export.

Is your Canvas window set to Fit to Fill

Are you viewing this on a puter or a TV/monitor. The puter monitor will not give you accurate results. You have to see the titles in a NTSC/PAL (whatever is appropriate) work space

adding to what VJK said about the canvas...

For a long time I could never figure out why my text never looked good. I finally realized that my canvas was set to something other than 100%.

Also, where are you generating your text? Within FCP? Motion? LiveType?

thanx guys, my canvas is fit to fill. I use text function in FCP, simple one, no crawlin or typin. Sometimes Digital Heaven DH subtitle for its shadow box which helps readin on changin background.
i work only on my laptop, using its monitor which isnt ideal but there must b a way 2 have subtitle at least readable.

Nope... you need to use a monitor or a tv in order to see titles in the proper way. Images are interlaced computers are not

"fit to fill" -- I don't have that option but I do have "Fit to Window" and if your canvas window is too small it will fit the video to something other than 100%.

no, i dont think it's the case, it's less than 62% and in title safe area. From the FCP Manual they also admit the prob of blur titles because of this interlacing stuff. But how do u guys face that? Do u just put up with it? I tried all safe advices from FCP (certain fonts, bigger than 25, bold, opacity 90%, etc) but my titles aint "better looking" enuf.
anyone guarantee better lookin titles using other text generators?

Dear Trang,
Try exporting the clip w/ the subtitle and see if it's still blurry. That happened to me too until I exported it and it's clear as day. Hope this helps.

If you are using fcp's text (not title3d) are you repositioning the text using the motion tab? If so, you must make sure that the vertical position is an even number.
