I don't believe AnswerTones are "compatible" with iPhone. 😟

Sure they are - answer tones are handled by AT&T's network and not by the cell phone.

The answer tones I purchased from AT&T and was using before I purchased the iPhone are working with the iPhone exactly as before.

Via AT&T's website, you can enter phone numbers for those numbers to hear a select answer tone or a random selection from all answer tones purchased. Random is selected for most of my contacts but I have a chosen answer tone for certain contacts to always hear.

Yep, I've been able to successfully use Answer Tones on the ATT network. The Answer Tones site could be greatly improved, though. The site for the Verizon Wireless Ringback Tones is far better!

Cool! I changed numbers/accounts (moved) the day after I got the iPhone and the AnswerTones didn't transfer. AT&T gave me a credit to start over. I just didn't get something set back up correctly. Works now.

I thought I had seen a "compatibility list" for AnswerTones somewhere. Doesn't make sense to me though. It should just be the network.
