help me please

i have a 30g ipod which ive had for nearly a year!!! i have a charger for it which i bought seperately bt now it wont charge. also when i connect it to the computer its nt being found so i cnt charge it nor put anymore songs on it!!! my battery is dead so i cant do any of the resetting stuff!!! anyone any ideas??????
