Soccer Ball Picture in Email Header

Hi there...

I've looked for solutions to this problem and have tried everything I found, to no avail.

When I look at my sent emails, it shows a photo of a soccer ball in the header. I'm not into soccer and would prefer a different image.

I have tried going into System Preferences and changed the picture there. I also went into Address Book and cleared the image on my card and then put a new picture in. I even tried restarting my system and resetting the PRAM. Still, the soccer ball shows up!

Some have said, "Don't worry, the soccer ball isn't seen by the recipient," but when I send myself test emails, the soccer ball certainly DOES show up to the recipient (me).

Might there be another solution than those I've tried?

Thank you for your help and time...

Firstly, the image is seen only by you: other recipients won't see it. It is set in Address Book - obviously you have a default image. Open your entry in Address Book and you will see the image and can change or remove it there. But, to repeat, the only person who sees it is you. It's not part of the messager itself, it's just that Mail is attaching the image to any mails to or from you. You can set images for other people, which will show in your mails from them, but again only for you.

So basically you don't need to do anything: but you can change the image that you see if it's annoying you.
