Logic Express 7.0 or 7.2?

Ive found logic express 7.0 on ebay for cheap and i can get it upgraded to 7.2 for cheaper than buying 7.2 new. Would this workout or should i just get the 7.2 new?

Do you actually get good instructions with 7.2 or anytihng like that?

Be very careful buying software on Ebay. Especially if they say it's "cheap". If I were you I'd go the safe route and get a nice squeaky clean brand new version of 7.2. It's worth the peace of mind.

Windham Hillbilly,

Can you elaborate? The school where I teach is getting new Intel iMacs this summer to replace older iMacs and we were about to order our 7.0 to 7.2 crossgrade. Is it really unavailable, and if so, has Apple indicated any plans for older PowerPC users to run Logic Express?

thanks,

Hi, Ted,

According to the info on the Apple LE Crossgrade sites, the Crossgrade order had to be postmarked by June 29.
This may change. However, I assume that they have a 7.3 version coming out soon, which is why they pulled the 7.2 option (just guessing).
Here are the two links (USA and UK) that I know of.
