burning CD-R already burned

Hi, I remarked I could not burn files on a CD if it contained already something.
In order to get all my CDs "full" I'd like to know if it's possible to burn a CD if it was burned once.

Other question: how many photos can support iPhoto? I stocked more than 6200 in iPhoto and I wanna know if I should delete or...burn some ^^

Thanks for answering 😉

Using the Finder, a CD-R can only be burned once. CD-RW media can be burned multiple times, but must be erased and re-burned (i.e. you cannot just add to the CD-RW like you can to a hard disk).

To burn additional data onto a CD-R you need to do a multisession burn, either using Apple's Disk Utility as described here or with the shareware program BurnAgain DVD (which also works wih CD-R media).

iPhoto (v6) can store up to 250,000 images, a limit that would be pretty hard to reach. The only reason to delete (or archive to CD/DVD, etc.) is to keep your hard drive from filling up.

Hope this helps...
