How do I 'right click' with this new mouse?

Dumb question, but there's no 'right click' option on this new type of mouse, it has a nice red light instead of a ball and no left or right click, how on earth do I use it to right click something!

Well I've just downloaded and installed the driver too. I don't get a picture (but then I don't have the actual webcam) but it all seems to be there. I'm not up on the workings of AIM as I use my AIM account in iChat.

Try this as a workaround:

  • Download iChatUSBCam.
  • Enter your wife's AIM name in to iChat.

This article explains.

This webcam is 640x480 pixels and so may well look small on the iMac screen.

Pressing control only opens up 'file' options, which can also be seen from the
top, it doesn't 'right click' from what I understand. I've been trying to right click a file and that supposed to give me options for installation, not just to
open the file. And there is no grey ball on my mouse, and my ****** user manual says nothing other than my mouse is 'easy to use' NICE!

The Optical Mouse that came with the iMac (Flat Panel) does not have a right mouse button. You must press the ctrl key whilst you press down the body of the mouse to right click.

These mice haven't been on sale new for some time now though.

EDIT (having just read your last post): Ctrl + left click is right click. What options are you expecting? and in what application are you using it? I can't think of any Mac application that needs right click action to install...

I'm trying to open a file for a webcam driver, the tech guy says if I right click there should be an option for installation. But pressing 'control' and clicking only gives me file options that I can see on top of the computer, nothing new.
And no grey ball, I've had the imac for about 2 yrs. (I'm not computer savy, I didn't even know what a right-click was until last night, had no idea the mouse did anything but open&drag stuff)

Tech Guy is probably talking about Windows' Installaion. I've installed a lot of software over the years and never had to right click like that to find install options.

A two year old Mac would have come with the single button mouse; not the Mighty Mouse (with the extra 'buttons' and grey scroll ball).

Let's move on to the Webcam driver; what driver are you installing and what webcam model is it?

Its Dynex model dx-dtcam. I think I got the driver downloaded somehow, (dynex driver osx 1.o1) when I press the webcam monitor icon I now have a small screen come up with my face on it (upside down). But I don't know what to do next. I installed aol messenger. I'm trying to set it up so I can see my baby girl who lives far away and I'm dying to see her face, been two days of trying to set up and I don't know what to do next! I bought one for my ex wife and she says its set on her end. I've never used a messenger, a webcam, etc.why does it show me, shouldn't it be going 'out'? Why is the screen so small, is that how webcams look?
By the way, I have a mac 10.3.9
