THANK YOU...Apple Customer Service

Im starting this post to put something positive into this forum:

Apple is doing an outstanding job on customer service and taking care of issues (for me) very quickly. With the shear number of phones produced, parts arriving from all over the world and the chance for human/computer error in assemble...There will be problems and it should be expected. Apple has stepped up and so far done a super job of fixing, replacing and assisting its customers with how to info. It is prevalent throughout many of the threads in this forum. So many people have had there phones replaced and yet there are no "thank you's" posted here...here's your chance.

I purchased my phone on release day and immedietly could not get a wifi connection. Im a patient guy so I came to these forums to try out ALL of the ideas posted, none worked. I went to AT&T for assistance and there was just not enough knowledge or help there. However they did call Apple (seem to have a direct line) and i was able to open up a case. We went through troubleshooting all the way to level three. No fix so a repair ticket was opened and a loaner phone was sent the very next day...Fedex overnight. Sync'd up the new loaner phone with no loss of data and "whala" everything worked like it was suppose to...wifi, volume, ipod, edge...all perfect. Sent my phone in and using the repair tracking, watched every step of what they were doing. They did diagnostic testing yesterday and this morning I checked and a New Phone is on the way. Obviously it was not fixable and now they have my phone as a test phone to help others. They did not try and do any patch's or shuffle under the carpet stuff. They could not fix so they replaced. My phone also had to be recharged every 12 hours which I would not have known without the loaner phone which has not had to be recharged now for 3 days. I added that case to the current repair ticket while it was in transit with no problems at all. In closing, be patient and understanding, answer their questions, treat them like you would want to be treated and you will a great experience and get a phone that works like it was designed to work. Understand that due to the large volume of phones that Murphy's Law is in effect...some will be broke.

Apple...Thank you for a quality product and excellent service!!!

After 4 iphones, my 5th try seems to be stable. Other than a few hicups and a restore, it is working. I love the iphone - hate the service. I want to thank Apple support at the Legacy Village, Ohio store for helping me with my issues and replacing the phone multiple times. Bad luck or not - it is a new device that WILL have issues. All I can say is at least they know to just replace them. Yes, there was abit of attitude and amazement - but they got it done. I hope I do not have any more issues with this device. I also hope they correct the many issues others are currently having. I agree with the volume issues, it need to be louder. It also need better software with useful tools - and a file system. I can list more. However, today - I am happy. : )

Bought my iPhone on launch day. I loved it and it worked great. About three or four days after purchase the home button began to click rather loudly when pressed. Then, on occasion, it would even stick and not pop back up properly. So I took it down to my local Apple Store to have them take a look.

The Apple employee took it to the back and a couple of minutes later came out with a new phone. He had exchanged the sim card and took me to the register to properly do the return/exchange with the S/N's and such. After a sync at home my iPhone was right back to where it was as if nothing had happened (I did have to reenter my wifi password).

No one wants to have an issue with their iPhone, but if you do, you can't get better service than that. Kudos.

do they just send the iphone itself in the wrapping or do they send the box as well? I got mine exchanged at the store which is 1 hour away plus 1 hour of wait time and my new one is a bit sluggish when scrolling through email plus the case on the bottom left near the battery cover is off a bit and creaks. I don't want to go to the store but do want to get it replaced again so it will be 100% hardware and sofware can be worked on. I want to make sure they don't just start repairing the thing but actually exchange it. I guess if its similar to the ipod they don't fix just send a replacement in the plastic film that they originally come in.

thanks

mike

User uploaded fileGeez, I have been so lucky. My iPhone has been perfect from Day One. When I demonstrate it to others, which is often, it shines like the golden Apple it is. I've never had a problem, no crashes, lotsa wifi, great pix, great sound - there is nothing to complain about with my iPhone!

Kudos to Apple. Even AT&T was great and had me activated within an hour or two after porting my phone number over from T-Mobile!

Very happy camper here and recommend the iPhone at every opportunity.

for those of you who have an iPhone but not yet a Mac, I have had the same customer service experience when getting help for my computer. i rarely have problems but the couple of times that I have had to send it in to repair, they are fast, courteous and they know what they are doing.

there is a reason why they generally win the customer service awards...

I have spoke to iphone customer service 3 times and have recieved the most pleasant service of any tech group I ever had to speak to in the past. This is a new product and the employees are dealing with huge amounts of calls and still remain positive, open to comments ( and I am sure some criticism), and still strive to make the iphone your product of choice. Yes, $600 is a big price tag, but the customer service that goes with it is priceless! Thank You, Apple, for having excellent customer service employees!

They sent my new phone in a new smaller box similiar to the big one but just iPhone size. It had all the cellophane protection stuff on it and yes I REMOVED it...lol. They did do a diagnostic on mine before they replaced it to determine if it could be fixed. Obviously whatever was wrong with the battery and wifi were not fixable so they replaced it and now "EVERYTHING" works as it should. No speaker/volume issues, no battery issues...it ALL works perfectly! Hope that answers your question.
