Help with HP Photosmart M425 digital camera

Hi there,
I have recently bought a Hewlett-Packard Photosmart M425 5.0MP digital camera. I am having problems connecting to my computer. I tried downloading the drivers from the HP website but it does not seem to make a difference. When I connect and open up image capture, it says "Waiting for the Device" but does not connect.
Please Help Me,

David P.

Hi David!

There are only a couple of things you could possibly look into. It could be the USB cable has gone bad (but I would opt to purchase a card reader before a new cable). I would also make sure your SD card is good (you can test this by using only the internal memory for a couple of shots and try to download). You might want to invest into a card reader (which are relatively inexpensive) and try downloading this way.
