Binary file Compare

I am looking for an application to compare two binary files. Would be nice if the application included a hex editor.

Applications like FileMerge and Unix diff assume the data is text with line end characters.

To be fair, diff does work on binary files. It will tell if they are different, but not much else.

Still, I know what you mean. You want a program called 0xED.

Thanks the reference, but my primary need is to compare two files. I know about the unix cmp command, but it works in octal.

Sorry, I thought that 0xED would do that. I haven't actually tried it. I just assumed it had all the features of an older program called HexEdit. I know for sure that HexEdit will compare binary files. Unfortunately, it is not Intel native. It will work, but it is slow and the compare function is a little hard to use.
