How to unfreeze iPhone?

Is there a solid solution yet that works on how to unfreeze the iPhone? This is the second time its frozen on me and I don't know what to do to unfreeze it. The first time I had to wait till the battery just died which was stupid and I hope this time it unfreezes by itself somehow or else I'll have a day of no phone usage.

Why does Apple make it so you cant take out the battery so we could forcefully restart it ourselves? They should know they aren't that perfect that their products will freeze up from time to time.

If anyone has a working solution please let me know, thanks.

Hold the Home Button (on the front of the iPhone) and the Sleep/Wake button (on the top of the iPhone) together at the same time. Keep them pressed at the same time for like 10-20 seconds and the phone should reboot.

When you have a frozen application, or completely frozen iPhone (dark screen or otherwise) hold the Home button (button on the front) and the Sleep/Wake button (on the top) at the same time until you see an Apple logo. Release and allow it to boot back up, this is very similar to restarting a computer. There should be NO data loss whatsoever by doing this. Also, stuck applications can be forced to quit by holding the Home button for about 6+ seconds (it'll just flash back to the Home screen, you can test it with any application you want, whether it's really frozen or not)

Remember these things, for they are good to know when or if it should freeze again! (it is a lil computer after all)
