SMS and Photographs
Is there a reason that I can't send photographs via SMS or Text Message? Is this an AT&T issue?

the iPhone does not support MMS or multimedia message service...
you can however send the photo by email to someone's cell phone/text message, by using theirnumber@cellprovider.com type addresses...
a quick google will turn up the respective provider server names
