iMac G3 Wifi - Airport Card or G54SL+ USB Wireless Adapter?

Just had Wifi set up using AT&T Uverse, AT&T tech could not get his USB wireless adapter by (2WIRE) to work with my iMac... We installed the driver for the 2WIRE USB adapter, it appears that the install driver was ok since we received a prompt from OSX to restart, but no cigar... USB adapter did not work.. I'm now thinking the best route to go with is getting an Apple Airport card, but as I was checking on E-bay, I saw an alternative, the G54SL+ Wireless Adapter which connects to my USB port... any suggestions which will work best?

The AirPort card is compatible with every version of Mac OS which you can run on your iMac. The driver for that adapter may not be compatible with the same.

Even though that devices claims a higher data rate than the AirPort card, it is not true when connected to an iMac G3. The iMac G3's USB 1.1 port will limit the bandwidth to 11 Mbps which is the same as the AirPort card.

Honestly, this is the best solution I've found in your situation:

http://computers.pricegrabber.com/wireless-networking/us-robotics/m/2519622/

Its cheaper overall (especially if you don't already have the required cage for your iMac), and monkey-easy to use. You plug it in, run the ethernet to your mac, and wa-la, you're up and running. It even has some advanced setup, and best of all-you can always use it on any other ethernet device (Xbox, PC, etc) that needs to grab a wireless connection.
