WiFi keeps turning off

My wifi keeps turning itself off and I don't know why. When I am around a wifi spot the iPhone works great. It recognizes my established networks, logs into them, and functions at a high rate of speed...most of the time. However, very often I go to check which networks the iPhone is connected to and it says the wifi is "off." I never turned it off. Does somebody know what is going on here?

Powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.3)

That seems strange. Did you try resetting the iPhone? Hold down the sleep and home buttons for 10 seconds until the while Apple logo appears on the screen. See if it happens again after the reset.

I appreciate it. That seems to have worked for now, although it hasn't been too much time. If anyone else has experienced anything like this and know of a solution, please advise. Thanks for your help!

I am also having this problem. I don't know of a solution but I have reset the phone to see if that helps. if it does, I'll let you know.

Try doing a network reset. It's found under the settings/general menu in your iPhone menu. I had the same problems and it worked for me.
