Cornell Notes and Keynote

I teach 8th grade science and use Keynote for my notes. School-wide, we use Cornell Note format for our students. Anyone have any suggestions on adapting Keynote presentations to Cornell Note format?

Tulse - Thanx. I'm new at this. Cornell notes has a page divided into 1/3 on the left and 2/3 on the right. The right 2/3s is where students record details as thery are presented in class. The left 1/3 is where they record main ideas that relate to the details on the right and can write questions to help their studying. I have, in the past, done my notes in "normal" outline format in Keynote and helped the kids transfer them to the Cornell format. There msut be a better way that a Kenote usin' teachder ahs discovered.

By displaying the notes in Cornell format, they are more directly accessible to the students. Also, this reinforces the implementation of the Cornell Note system at my school.

I might also add that I post my notes on our school's website after I have presented them in class. For broader access, I post them in PowerPoint format,

Keynote Master slides can unfortunately only have one main text box on them, so you will not be able to have a standard Master template that does exactly what you want. However, you can always add additional text boxes to individual slides. What I would recommend is setting up a slide Master with the bullet points on the right 2/3 of the slide, then using this Master create a new individual slide, and add a text box on the left for the main idea. When you create additional individual slides from the Master, simply copy this text box and paste it on to your new slides -- it will appear in exactly the same place on each slide.
